Founded in 2019 by Emmanuel Lambelin,
Purpose Catering accumulates over 30 years experience in hospitality together with french style flair to create a catering company with heart and soul.
The roots of Purpose Catering come from a provincial farm on the outskirts of Lille. Here Emmanuel was raised with traditional country French cooking. In 1990 Emmanuel received his masters degree in hotel management and spend the next 10 years working on cruise ships, Michelin starred restaurants and even as a Butler to the Queen.
With the help of his brother, Emmanuel set about to create acclaimed restaurant “Chez Manny” in 2002 a modern French bistro in the heart of Battersea.
After many years of service, Chez Manny shut its doors as Emmanuel Lambelin began to focus his talents to work internationally as a butler and catering specialist ensuring that his positive ethos around hospitality and service was implemented in each engagement.

Meet Chris, our Head Chef, bringing over a decade of culinary expertise and a touch of French flair to the table.
Chris’s culinary journey began 17 years ago at a welcoming French restaurant in London owned by Emmanuel. Starting in the kitchen alongside Emmanuel’s brother and later moving to front-of-house roles with Emmanuel himself, Chris discovered his passion for both cooking and hospitality.
Emmanuel’s mentorship and friendship have been invaluable, and the two have remained close, often collaborating on various projects. Since those early beginnings, Chris has honed his skills in some of London’s most renowned establishments.
He has led kitchens under Chef Patron Marcus Wareing at Gilbert & Scott, contributed to the success of Oblix Restaurant, worked with the two-Michelin-starred team at Bibendum, and gained experience at prestigious venues such as Duck & Waffle , The Savoy Hotel , Nobu- Portman square.
With a wealth of expertise, Chris specializes in crafting memorable dining experiences for a wide range of events, seamlessly blending creativity with tradition to deliver unique and unforgettable experience to our customers.
